Description :

A Christmas wreath is most synonymous with the festival of Christmas. It's one of the handmade Christmas decorations that can be made for close friends and family on this auspicious occasion. It can be made with various materials here we have made it beautifully with quilling giving it a festive yet delicate look. A wreath is often a symbol of good spirits and happiness and so is seen on doors. This quilling wreath is something that is different and looks very impressive when adorned in your homes.

STEP 1
Begin with making the base ring for the Christmas wreath we have taken a recycled corrugated box. The circle measures 11” and there is an inner circle of 7” in diameter. You could make the wreath bigger or smaller depending on your requirement.
STEP 2
The inner circle will have to be cut out with a paper cutter and here you have your ready base for the wreath.
STEP 3
We have given a crimped look to the wreath so take the yellow quilling strips and cut it into half. Using a crimper, crimp each strip.
STEP 4
Stick these crimped quilling strips neatly around the wreath with Fevicol MR. Leave it aside to dry completely.
STEP 5
The wreath would have leaves and cherries, so for that take green quilling strips and shape them into leaf shapes by securing the ends with Fevicol MR. Use the pinching technique to shape the regular leaves into holly shapes. Make around 15-20 such holly leaves.
STEP 6
To make the cherries take the orange quilling strips Make tight coils and seal the ends with Fevicol MR. Now for it's shape gently push out the tight coil from the inside towards the outside thereby getting a slight dome shape. Make around 16-18 such cherry shapes.
STEP 7
Now that the leaves and cherries are ready, very aesthetically arrange them on the wreath with Fevicol MR. Take the yellow satin ribbon and tie it neatly towards the bottom to dangle a bunch of hollies, also make a loop on the top of the wreath for hanging.
