The coming of Christmas spells festivities and celebrations in abundance. Let's get into the spirit and make our own handmade Christmas decorations – for a X'mas tree. Colourful baubles to a snowman to hollies and a lot more. These baubles are colourful, glittery and festive to make and see.STEP 1
To start with take an A3 sized white paper and draw few Christmas motifs on it – hollies with bells, a snowman, bunch of baubles and stockings. We need to make mirror images of these motifs as they are going be sandwiched once finally painted. These are usually the festive motifs that we often see during the Christmas season on Christmas trees.
STEP 2
Trace the same on a fine art canvas sheet with yellow carbon paper again in a mirror image.
STEP 3
Now beautifully enhance the motifs with Glitter Silver and keep it aside to dry.
STEP 4
These pretty motifs are now ready to be painted. Do so using glass colours and making them as colourful and festive. Leave them to dry completely and then cut along the outlines neatly.
STEP 5
Once these motifs have dried start taking the two identical pieces and sandwich them back to back with Fabric Glue. Leave them to dry thoroughly. These would make excellent handmade Christmas decorations for an X'mas tree. You have now learnt how to make baubles with this project.
