You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - White27, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Crimson 04, Black 02, Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, Fevicryl 3D Non Sticky Glitter - Gold 401, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, A-4 sized White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Polycot Fabric (White ¼ mt, Red- 1/5mt, Purple-1/5mt), Thick (cotton) Black fabric, Paper Canvas, 1.5 Meter Red Crochet Lace, Insence Sticks, Match Box, Assorted Ornamental Stones, Tailoring Chalk, Pencil, Ruler, Eraser, Scissors

Description :

This cutwork technique achieved by burning the fabric using incence stick gives a wonderful layered effect in the design, Seal the edges with 3d outliners to enhance it further.
 

 

 

STEP 1
Draw a woman (Influenced by Jemini Roys painting ) on an A4 sized drawing paper You may draw another picture of a woman of your choice
STEP 2
Trace the drawing on the white polycot fabric measuring 10 x 13.5” in size using a carbon paper
STEP 3
Paint the woman's face (skin tone) by mixing Acrylic Colours - White, Golden Yellow and a dash of Orange Paint the hair, features and the jewellery using Acrylic Colours - Crimson , Black, Pearl Metallic Colour – Gold
STEP 4
Create a cutwork pattern on the pallu of the saree by burning the design using an incense stick
STEP 5
Stick red and purple polycot fabric pieces on the rear side of the design for the backing Stick these fabric using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 6
Outline the cutwork design with 3D Cone Outliner Pearl Metallic – Gold Let it dry Decorate the jewellery by sticking ornamental stones using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 7
Take a thick black cotton fabric of size 60” x 13” Fold it half vertically Fold the edges of the bag inwards and stick them together using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 8
Cut two strips of 3”x 25” from a black polycot fabric and 1”x 25” strip from the paper canvas, for the handle Place the papaer canvas strip in the centre of the black fabric strip
STEP 9
Stick the black fabric around the paper canvas strip using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 10
Stick the handles on the bag using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 11
Arrange the design patch on the bag in the centre and stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue Enhance the saree design by outlining the cutwork using 3D Cone Outliner Glitter - Gold
STEP 12
Take a red coloured lace
STEP 13
Stick the lace bordering the design patch using Fevicryl Fabric Glue and leave it to dry
