Cartoon Face Drawing On World Cartoon Day

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, White 27, Pink 18, Violet 25, Flesh Tint 30, Sky Blue, 63 Fine Art Brushes, Fevicol, A4 Size White Card Paper, Cotton thread, Twigs

Life surely wouldn’t have been the same if we couldn’t laugh! And what we could have done without the cartoonists! They make us laugh, they make us cry, and they show us the world around us in their special way. Here is a tribute to the cartoonists on World Cartoon Day! In this DIY we have painted the drawing of cartoon faces using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours and made the frame using twigs. This cartoon frame picture can be a great gift to near and dear ones without any special occasion.STEP 1
We start with a white card paper. On the card paper sketch 3 laughing faces in cartoon style with a pencil. You can make multiple faces or a single face too as per your style and requirement.
STEP 2
After we have sketched the faces we will start painting them. Take Fevicryl Acrylic Colours and using water colour technique, which is good amount of water to the colour and apply it on the drawing. Start with lighter tones and blend in darker tones afterwards.
Leave the colours to dry.
STEP 3
Then paint the garments with bright colours and outline the drawing with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02.
STEP 4
Now the typography - Draw and paint a blurb on the top half with Fevicryl Acrylic colour Black 02. In the blurb write ‘Laugh a bit more’. Refer to the image.
STEP 5
Take 4 twigs and tie them together with the help of cotton thread in a form of a frame. Paste the drawing onto the frame with Fevicol MR.
Tie a thread from the two ends on the top for dangling the frame.
The Cartoon Day frame is ready!
