Bottles With Texture And Decoupage

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Light Green 12, Sap Green 21, White 27, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicol MR, Fevicryl Modge Podge Gloss, Fine Art Brushes, Plain Glass Bottles (Big, Medium & Small), Cotton Gauze, Jute Yarn, Tissue Decoupage Paper (Rose Print), POP (Plaster Of Paris), Colour Palette, Water Container, Scissors, Painting Knife.

Description :
Chic and classy home accents are these gorgeous and junky bottles. The two techniques used are worth a try to get splendid artefacts that are easy DIYs.

STEP 1 : Preparing the base
• Take a plain big bottle. • Stick the single ply of the cotton gauze on the bottle using Fabric Glue. • Make sure to create wrinkles while sticking the gauze on the bottle. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 2 : Paint the base
• Paint the gauze textured bottle in a light shade of yellow made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03 and White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Doing decoupage
• Take a rose printed decoupage tissue. • Cut the roses neatly. • Stick the rose bunches randomly on the textured bottle, by applying Modge Podge Gloss evenly. Remove air pockets while sticking the decoupage tissues. • Paint few tiny leaves using Acrylic Colour - Light Green 12. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Sealing the print
• Highlight the bunch of roses, buds and leaves using Acrylic Colours - Light Green 12, Sap Green 21 and Neon Pink 018. Let it dry • Apply 2 to 3 coats of Modge Podge Gloss neatly on the bottle. Let it dry
STEP 5 : Adding texture with paint
• Paint the crumpled texture around the flowers in a shade of dark green made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Sap Green 21 and Black 02. Let it dry. • Once it dries, wind and stick a jute yarn towards the mouth of the bottle using Fabric Glue.
STEP 6 : Making texture for the base
• In a plastic bowl, make a mixture of POP (Plaster Of Paris), Fevicol MR and a little amount of water. Mix it thoroughly to get a batter consistency. • Take a medium sized glass bottle. Apply a coat of the POP plaster on it, thus creating a rough texture on its surface. • Let it dry completely.
STEP 7 : Painting the base
• Paint the bottle using Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Light Green 12 and White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 8 : Pasting and sealing the flowers
• Similarly, stick the rose printed tissue on the bottle using Modge Podge Gloss in an even manner. • Remove the air pockets while sticking the decoupage tissue, carefully since it’s a textured surface. • Apply 2 to 3 coats of Modge Podge Gloss. Leave it to dry. • After drying, wind and stick a jute yarn towards the mouth of the bottle using Fabric Glue.
STEP 9 : Finishing.
• Similarly make the small bottle with similar method by creating the texture with POP. • Let it dry
