You Will Need:

Description :
Here is a cute festive DIY for Navratri! Beautiful and easy this can be made at home easily with Fevicryl range of colours and Fabric Glue.
STEP 1 : Make the design
• We are going to make the mobile butwa for the festive season.
• Take an A4 white paper; draw the rectangle measuring 15” x 9” in size.
• Draw the ornamental design in border design forms in the rectangle.
• Take the beige colour fabric, mark and cut a similar rectangle out of it.
STEP 2 : Trace the design
• Trace the same design on the fabric with red carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Painting the design
• Paint the design using Fabric Colours Golden Yellow 209, Orange 217, Cerulean Blue 232, Salmon Pink 265, Greenery 267, Teal Blue 268 and Acrylic Colours Neon Orange 017 and Neon Pink 018.
• Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 4 : Enhance the design
• Enhance the design by replicating the dotted lines and cross line stitches embroidery effect pattern using 3 D Outliners Yellow 703 and White 707.
• Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Embellish the design
• Decorate the design by sticking the colourful glass beads and diamond shaped mirror using Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Prepare the bangle
• Take the used metal bangle.
• Cover it with pink wool sticking it using Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Make a sling
• Take some wool; make a plait out of it further to make a sling for the butwa.
STEP 8 : Making the loop for Butwa
• Take the small piece of the same fabric and stick on the top side to make the loop to attach the bangles.
• Refer to the image.
STEP 9 : Assembly
• Fold the painted and decorated piece of the fabric in the centre, secure the ends and the bottom sides edges by sticking it with Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
• Attach the bangles in the loops using Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
STEP 10 : Finishing
• Similarly attach plaited wool to make the sling for the butwa using needle and thread.
• Attach colourful Pom-poms along with the Plastic Beads towards the bottom sides of the butwa with needle and a thread.
• You can use this butwa to keep your mobile and money while dancing in Navaratri Garba Dance.
