STEP 1
To make the dream catcher we have used a Persian design to replace crochet embroidery that has been prevalent for years. Take an A3 sized white card paper. Draw a 6" radius circle on it. Draw a traditional Persian design pattern in the circle.
STEP 2
Take half a meter of the beige polycot fabric. Trace the same design on the polycot fabric with yellow carbon paper. Make 2 such designs.
STEP 3
Outline both the designs with Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Zardosi Gold. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
Paint both the designs with shades of green and blue using Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna, Black, Chrome Yellow, Dark Green, Orange, Prussian Blue, Ultramarine Blue, White, Cerulean Blue, and Sky Blue. Let it dry.
STEP 5
Burn the in between gaps from the design which are not painted to give a cut work effect using an incense stick. Refer to the main image.
STEP 6
Take the paper canvas. Draw few different shaped feathers measuring 5" in height. Draw about 20 such feathers.
STEP 7
Paint the feathers with shades of light green and blue made by mixing Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Dark Green, White, Cerulean Blue and Sky Blue. Paint the feathers with few dry brush strokes one shade darker using oft Acrylic Colours - Dark Green, White, Cerulean Blue and Sky Blue. Let it dry.
STEP 8
Take two same sized feathers. Stick them back to back by sandwiching the blue thread in between them with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 9
Cut along the outlines of the circular design. Stick both the circular design back to back with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 10
Stitch the circular design on the wooden embroidery ring along with the colourful beads using a needle and thread.
STEP 11
Dangle the feathers along with the few bead strands on the wooden ring to make the dream catcher look beautiful.
