You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours White 27, Fevicryl Pastel Acrylic Colours, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Old Metal Pan, Assorted Mirrors, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Jute Yarn, Scissors, Polish Paper, Colour Palette, Water Container.

A handcrafted, oval pan with intricate lippan art in pastel shades, featuring a mesmerizing blend of soft yellows, blues, and greens. The design incorporates delicate floral motifs and geometric patterns, reflecting the traditional lippan artistry.

STEP 1 : Prepare the Metal Pan

We are going to make a wall decor item using an old pan inspired by the Lippan Art and painted with Fevicryl Pastel Acrylic Colours. Clean the old metal pan thoroughly to remove any rust, dirt, or grease.
Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough spots.
Apply a coat of white Acrylic Colour to the entire surface of the pan by adding talcum powder in it.
This helps the paint and clay adhere better.
Let it dry completely.
Sketch your desired Lippan art design on it.

STEP 2 : Mouldit Clay Application

Mix the Mouldit clay as per the instructions on the package.
Take the clay roll to make the coils.
Use your hands or clay tools to shape the clay into the desired patterns and designs.
Stick the coils that mimic traditional Lippan art using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.
Refer to the image.

STEP 3 : Paint the base coat

Paint the base coat with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours shade White 27.
Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Paint the design

Paint the pan with Fevicryl Acrylic Pastel Colours Aqua and Mint Green.
Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Finishing Touches & Final look

Stick the assorted mirrors aesthetically on the pan using Fabric Glue.
Apply the Fevicryl Acrylic Colours shade White 27 on the coil design and let it dry.
Attach the jute yarn to the handle of the pan using Fabric Glue.
Our DIY Lippan art on an old metal pan is now complete.
