STEP 1 : Source the base
• We are going to make the canvas with the vibes of the Gudi Padwa to celebrate the festival. • Take 12” x 12” size canvas.
STEP 2 : Draw the design
• Take the canvas and draw the face of a lady with traditional Maharashtrian attire wearing the feta on head.
STEP 3 : Paint the face
• Start painting the face and the mandala design on the background using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Violet 25, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32, Salmon Pink 65, Coral Red 66, Teal Blue 68, Neon Yellow 011, Neon Green 012, Neon Pink 018 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Keep it aside for drying.
STEP 4 : Mix Mouldit
• We are going to make the jewellery with Mouldit. • Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 5 : Make Jewelry
• Take the dough, shape it to make the jewelery like nath with round pearls, earrings and necklace with the help of clay carving tools. • The jewelery will look like this.
STEP 6 : Stick the jewelry
• Stick the necklace, earrings and nath appropriately using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Refer to the image.
STEP 7 : Paint the jewelry
• Paint the necklace with antique gold effect and give pearl effect to the pearls of nath using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, White 27 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Let it dry.
STEP 8 : Typography
• Write and paint the message “Happy Gudi Padwa” with Acrylic Colour Black 02. • Let it dry.
