You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, 12” X 12” Fine Art Canvas Board, Fine Art Brushes, A3 White Paper, Black Carbon Paper, Pencil, Rolling Pin, MDF Coaster (3” Diameter), Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Colour Palette, Water Container

Revisit the bygone era with this beautiful piece of art. Made with Fevicryl Mouldit and colours this is surely going to art exclusivity to your décor.

STEP 1 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit
  • We are going to make the canvas with temple motifs and the God Hanuman with an effect of old carved metal coin with Mouldit.
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Roll the dough
  • Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.
  • Keep it aside for semi dry.
STEP 3 : Make a cut out of God Hanuman with Mouldit.
  • Take A3 white paper, draw the simple outline of circle with the design of temple motifs and god Hanuman in it.
  • Trace the same design on the slab.
  • Mark and cut the slab accordingly with paper cutter.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Mould the coin
  • Take some clay and build the details like the crown of god with the Nagas (serpents) , the garments and jewellery aesthetically with the help of clay carving tools.
  • Stick the circular design of God Hanuman on MDF coaster with Fabric Glue.
  • Leave it to dry completely.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Paint the coin.
  • Take the coin with God Hanuman and paint it with an old metal look using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Make Shloka backing
  • Take an A3 white paper, draw the Sanskrit Shlokas with Devnagari script in the size of the canvas on it.
  • Take the canvas board measuring 12” x 12” in size.
  • Trace the same design on it with black carbon paper.
  • Paint the canvas with watery tea wash along with the Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna 01 to give away the look of old Pothi (Sanskrit Literature) on it. Leave it to dry.
  • Paint the Shlokas with Acrylic Colours Black 02. Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Assembly
  • Stick the temple motif design coin in the centre of the canvas with Fabric Glue.
  • Leave it to dry.
  • Paint the border of the canvas with Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Orange 17 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
