Celebrate the spirit of Janmashtami with handcrafted idols of Lord Krishna and Radha, made using wooden peg dolls and Mouldit clay. These charming figurines are built on wooden bases and beautifully detailed with acrylic paints—bringing devotion and creativity together in a delightful festive keepsake.
We are going to make Lord Krishna & Radha Idols using wooden peg dolls and Mouldit. Take Wooden Peg dolls as the base to build the figurines.
Take Mouldit resin and hardener, mix well to make even dough. Take the dough to build the face of Lord Krishna and Radha with the dough ball, take some clay to make thin coils to build the hair using modelling tools. Take some clay to make the facial details. Use Fabric Glue for sticking purpose. Take some clay, make the ball out of it. Take the rear side of the pencil or the brush to create the inner isde of the pot (matka for butter). Make 2 to 4 such pots.
Paint both the figurines with shading effect and the facial details using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Light Green 12, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32, Teal Blue 68 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352 aesthetically.
Take the wooden tray measuring 8 x 8 in size. Paint the tray with the base coat of Acrylic Colour Orange 17 and Teal Blue for the borders. Paint the floral motif on the tray with Prussian Blue 19 and White 27. Leave it to dry completely.
