Quilled Floral Rakhi

You Will Need:

Fevicol MR, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue Quilling Strips, Slotted Quilling Tool, 3mm Quilling Strips in the colours of your choice. Matching Lace or Cords for Rakhi, Toothpick for sticking

Make these paper rakhis that are bio degradable and recyclable, using the basic techniques of quilling and quilling tools, you can make simple but beautiful looking rakhis adding a personal touch of love for your brother.

STEP 1
Take quilling strips of colours of your choice We have taken green and yellow coloured strips to make the rakhi Take a full quilling strip of green and half strip of yellow
STEP 2
Join the two strips to make one long strip
STEP 3
Insert the green strip in the slotted quilling tool and start rolling the strip Roll a loose quill and stick the end using Fevicol MR. The yellow strip will form a nice border for each petal
STEP 4
Pinch the loose quills into a leaf shape You will need about 10 to 12 such petals to complete the flower
STEP 5
Stick all the petals together using Fevicol MR to form a flower
STEP 6
Take 5mm sized ornamental stones
STEP 7
Stick the ornamental stones around the pearl and stick the flower on the satin ribbon to complete the rakhi
