Take a plain MDF placemat in the shape of any geometrical floral design. Paint it with a base coat of yellow using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Lemon Yellow 11, White 27 and Neon Yellow 011. Let it dry. Draw a 4” diameter circle in the center on the placemat.

Draw the Holi celebration Motifs in vector style like the dhol, loudspeaker, streamers, buckets with pichkari and colours, dry powder colours and the sweets on it.

Paint the motifs on the platter with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Violet 25, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Neon Yellow 011, Neon Green 012, Neon Orange 017 and Neon Pink 018. Let it dry.

Take Fevicryl Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it evenly and roll a thick slab from it. Take newspaper and rubber bands to make the potli shape. Cover the newspaper potli with the slab to get the shape. Let it dry completely.

Remove the newspaper from the clay potli’s. Paint them with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01 in watery wash style to get a rustic look. Let it dry.

Write the message “Happy Holi” on the Potli’s with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Cerulean Blue 32. Let it dry. Fill up the potli’s with powder colours and paste them on the placemat using a small amount of the dough and Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
