Pichwai Wall Danglers

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09, Sap Green 21, White 27, Flesh Tint 30), Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Colour Desert Gold 308, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, 2-3 Circular MDF Base, Paint Brushes, 1 or 2 Small Glue Cap, Clay Modelling Tools, Colourful Threads, Beads, Jute Cloth, Pom Pom Balls, Small Embellishments, Pencil, Scissor, Colour Palette, Water Container.

These circular MDF danglers showcase the rich tradition of Pichwai art. Each piece features intricate, hand-painted details inspired by the Nathdwara school. Hung in pairs, they add a touch of vibrant, cultural elegance to any space.

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • Let’s make a dangler in Indian Traditional Pichwai Art Form.
  • Assemble 1 or 2 Circular MDF Bases to make the Pichwai Design on it.
STEP 2 : Paint the base
  • Take Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27 and paint the MDF Bases for a primer coating.
  • Let it dry.
  • Paint the base with Golden Yellow 09 as a base colour.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Trace the design
  • Take the pencil and trace your desired design on the MDF Base.
  • Draw a similar design on another MDF Base.
STEP 4 : Paint the design
  • Paint the traced design using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours on both the bases.
  • Take fine brushes and paint the details of the painting.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Prepare the bell
  • You can pick any bell-shaped structure to cover it with clay.
  • We have taken the cap of Fabric Glue.
  • Take Fevicryl Mouldit, resin and hardener, mix well to make the dough even.
  • Stick the clay on the cap with Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
STEP 6 : Paint & decorate the clay
  • Paint the clay with Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Colour Desert Gold 308.
  • Let it dry.
  • Stick small stones on the bell by using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
STEP 7 : Decorate the hanging thread
  • Attach the hanging thread on the back of the MDF base by using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Take a jute cloth and cut it out in a bigger circle than the MDF Base and stick it behind the thread to give it a complete look.
  • Also, attach a pom pom at the end of the thread.
STEP 8 : Final look
  • Here is your Pichwai Dangler all set to be decorated on your walls.
