You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Dark Brown 05, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Coral Red 66, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Plain Plywood 12” X 16”, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Pencil, A3 White Paper, Black Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :
Do you have some plain board left over from some carpentry work and don’t really know what to do with them? Convert them into a piece of art using Fevicryl Mouldit and Fevicryl Acrylic Colours easily. Read more to know how.

STEP 1 : Drawing the design.
• Take an A3 white paper. • Draw the monks, some holding the pot on the shoulder and some with umbrellas on their head.
STEP 2 : Tracing the design on the ply.
• Take the piece of plywood measuring 12” x 16” sized approximately. (Or the size which will suits on your wall as per the décor of your home). • Trace the same design on the plywood with black carbon or you can draw directly.
STEP 3 : Mixing Mouldit
• We are going the make few parts of this painting in raise effect using Mouldit. • Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Moulding the dough
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin. Let the slab get semi dry. • Trace the outlines of the umbrellas and the pot on the slab.
STEP 5 : Engrave the design
• Cut along the outlines of the umbrellas and the pot with paper cutter. Engrave the rib lines of the umbrellas with clay carving tools. • The umbrellas and the pot will look like this. • Let it dry completely.
STEP 6 : Painting the monks
• Take the piece of ply. Paint the monks and the background of the monks with watery wash effect using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Dark Brown 05, Prussian Blue 19, White 27 and Sky Blue 63. • Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Painting the background
• Take the clay umbrellas and pots. • Paint it with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Prussian Blue 19, White 27 and Coral Red 66. Leave it to dry. • Stick the umbrellas and the pot appropriately on the ply with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. • Write and paint the mantra “OM MANI PADME HUM” on the background of the monks using Acrylic Colour White 27. Leave it to dry. • You can frame it or attach the metal hooks from the rear side of the ply to hang it on the wall.
