You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl 3 D Outliner White 707, Fevicry 3 D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, MDF Rangoli Cutouts, Clay Carving Tools, Pen Refill, Kundan (White), Ornamental Stones (Red, Green), Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :
Festive season is almost here and it is time to decorate for Diwali. Here is a cool way to make a rangoli for Diwali using Fevicryl products.


STEP 1 : Sourcing the base and doing a base coat
• We are going to decorate the MDF cut out rangoli design using kundan, Mouldit and Acrylic colours. • Take the MDF Rangoli cut outs. • Paint the MDF Rangoli with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Making texture using 3D outliners
• Paint the spiral design all over on the Rangoli base with 3D outliner white 707. • Let it dry completely.
STEP 3 : Painting the base
• Paint the Base in shading effect using Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04 and Orange 17. • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Mixing Mouldit
• We are going to make the design on the Rangoli with Mouldit. • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 5 : Making Mouldit and Kundan border
• Take the dough; roll it to make the thin coils. Let it get semi dry. • Take the 3 D outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352 and embed the white kundan on the edge of the cutouts of the Rangoli design. Let it dry. • Stick the coils of Mouldit beside the kundan border with Fabric Glue. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 6 : Painting the coils
• Paint the coils with Acrylic Colours Black 02, let it dry. • Similarly draw and paint the semi circles and 1 circle on the middle piece with dry colour effect of Acrylic Colours Black 02. • Let it dry. • Refer to the image.
STEP 7 : Enhancing the center of the Rangoli
• Take the centre cut out piece of MDF Rangoli. • Take some clay to make the thick coil design in the semi-circle form. Let it get semi dry. • Create the design on the coils with rear side of the refill. • Stick the thick coil design on the MDF rangoli appropriately with Fabric Glue. • Paint the coil design with Antique Effect using Acrylic Colour Black 02 and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Enhance the Mouldit design by embedding the White Kundan in to 3 D outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Decorate the centre circle cut out by sticking few red and green Ornamental stones with Fabric Glue. • Let it dry completely.
STEP 8 : Finishing
• Similarly enhance and decorate rest of the parts of Rangoli. • Your finished Rangoli design will look like this.
