Indian Soldiers Miniatures
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, White 27, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23, Flesh Tint 30, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Wooden Flat Strip/ Ruler, Barbeque Stick, Metal Wire, News Paper, Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Here is a DIY that pays tribute to the fortitude of Indian soldiers. These cute li’l miniatures of our soldiers are sure to draw devotion towards them from all of us.
STEP 1 : Roll the wire to make the base of figures.
- We are going to make the soldiers with Mouldit.
- We are going to make the skeleton of wire to make the figurine like this.
STEP 2 : Make the skeleton of the figures.
- Cover the skeleton with the crumpled newspaper and paper masking tape.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Mix Mouldit
- Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Roll Mouldit
- Roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.
STEP 5 : Cover the figures with Mouldit
- Cover the figure with the clay slab using Fabric Glue for sticking and secure the ends.
- Let it dry.
- Take some clay to make the hat of the soldiers.
- Make three such figures one with salute pose, other holding the stick of the flag, where we are putting the barbeque stick and the third one with the small riffles .
- Let it dry completely.
- Stick the hat on the head of the soldiers with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Paint the figures
- Paint the figures with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, White 27, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23 and Flesh Tint 30.
- Leave it to dry.
- Take small piece of the fabric to make the flag painted with tricolor Orange 17, White 27 and Light Green 12.
- Attach the flag on the stick with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Assembly
- Take the wooden strip measuring approximately 1 1/2” x 10” in size.
- Paint the wooden strip with Acrylic Colour burnt Sienna 01. Let it dry.
- Stick the soldiers on it with Fabric Glue.
- Leave it to dry.
