Celebrate festive moments with handcrafted Haldi-Kumkum holder dolls made using terracotta kulhad cups. Designed on the rear side of the kulhad, these delightful figures are sculpted with Mouldit clay and painted with vibrant acrylic colours. A perfect blend of tradition and artistry, these DIY creations make for a beautiful and meaningful gift.

STEP 1 : Procure the terracotta kulhad

We are going to make Terracotta Kulhad cute dolls holding Haldi- Kumkum Holders. We are going to use Mouldit and Acrylic Colours. Take 2 prewashed kulhad for the same.

STEP 2 : Prepare the clay & make base for dolls

Take Mouldit resin and hardener, mix well to make even dough. Take 2 small sized plastic balls, cover the balls with the rolled slab of Mouldit using little amount of Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Refer to the image.

STEP 3 : Make attachment for dolls

Take the dough, roll it to make the thick coil to make the hands of the doll. Let it get semi dry. Place and stick the clay covered plastic balls on the rear side of the kulhad to make the head of the doll using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. Refer to the image.

STEP 4 : Attach the hands

Attach and stick the hands to the body of the doll using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.

STEP 5 : Make the details on doll face

Take take clay, roll it to make the thin coils to make hair of doll. Stick the coils appropriately on the head of the doll with Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Make the holders with lid

Take the empty bottle lids, cover the lids with the clay slab using Fabric Glue for sticking. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Paint the dolls and holders

Paint the dolls and holders with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Flesh Tint 30 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry.

STEP 8 : Final look

Stick the holders appropriately in the hand of the dolls with little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. Refer to the image.
