You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Clay Carving Tools, Ornamental Stones (Golden), MDF Rectangle Piece, Metal Wire, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Looking for quirky accessories to match you garbha attire, here is just the one! A customized hair pin made with Fevicryl range of products.

STEP 1 : Source the base and draw the design
  • We are going to make the hair pin using the Mouldit and MDF.
  • Take the rectangle piece of MDF measuring 2 ½” x 3 ½” in size.
  • Pierce the hole towards the upper side.
  • Draw the dancing figure playing garba dance on it.
STEP 2 : Paint the figure
  • Paint the figure and the background with Acrylic Colour Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04 and Orange 17.
  • Let it dry.
  • Stick the golden ornamental stones towards the bottom edge of her dress with Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Attach the tassel
  • Attach the orange tassels towards the bottom side of the MDF like this.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Make the pin with Mouldit
  • We are going to make the base of the pin with Mouldit.
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 5 : Paint the base
  • Take the dough, roll it to make the thick coil tapering from one end.
  • Shape it appropriately and let it dry completely.
  • Draw and paint the zig zag pattern design on it with Acrylic Colour Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03 and Orange 17.
  • Let it dry.
  • Pierce the hold on the end for further attachment.
STEP 6 : Attachments
  • Your painted hair pin will look like this.
  • Attach the dancing figure to the pin with a metal wire.
