Diwali Coasters

You Will Need:

Usher in some Diwali vibes with these quirky painted coasters. This is a fun project to do with your family too for spreading some cheer.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to paint the coasters for Diwali with vibrant colours and the firecracker motifs in vector style on it.
  • Take the plain MDF coasters measuring 4” x 4” in size.
STEP 2 : Paint the base coat
  • Paint the coasters with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Paint the base
  • Paint the coasters in shading effect using Acrylic Colours Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Magenta 13, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32 and Deep Brilliant Purple 64.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Draw and paint the motifs
  • Draw and paint the firecracker motifs like the small Atom bombs, Cracker garlands, sparkling cracker flowerpot on it using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Lemon Yellow 11, Magenta 13, White 27, and Leaf Green 62
  • Let it dry.
  • Paint the simple quote on each coaster in Devanagari “Have a patakha diwali” with Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
