Chopping Board With Mixed Media
You Will Need:

How cool is this mixed media rendition of cute little birdies in a town on this chopping board! Make this one for your cozy corner to add a dash of quirkiness.
STEP 1 : Source the base
• We are going to make a mixed media design using water tap, things from scrap, corrugated sheet and paper birds on a wooden chopping board
• Take the wooden chopping board.
STEP 2 : Create the texture on the background
• Create the texture on the board with 3 D Outliner White 707 using painting knife.
• Keep it aside for drying completely.
STEP 3 : Paint the base
• Paint the chopping board with a shade of patina metal look using Acrylic Colour Teal Blue 68 and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Bronze 355.
• Let it dry
STEP 4 : Make newspaper birds
• Take news paper, crumple it to make the basic shape of the bird.
• Cover it first with white paper and then with the strips torn from old magazines using Fabric Glue for sticking.
• Let it dry completely.
STEP 5 : Paint the tap
• Take a water tap; rub the tap with a polish paper. When you will paint the tap the colour will stay on it.
• Apply the coat of the Fevicol MR on the rough su rface of the tap. Let it dry.
• Paint the tap by giving a patina metal look using Acrylic Colour Teal Blue 68 and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Bronze 355.
• Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 6 : Assembly
• Take a corrugated Sheet, scrap material, nut and bolts and paint with the similar shade of patina metal look using Acrylic Colour Teal Blue 68 and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Bronze 355. Let it dry.
• See the arrangement on the chopping board before sticking.
• Refer to the image.
STEP 7 : Finishing
• Arrange and stick the painted tap, corrugated sheet, scrap material, nut bolts and the birds aesthetically on the painted chopping board using Fabric Glue and little amount of the Mouldit to fix it.
• Leave it to dry completely.
