You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Magenta 15, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Coral Red 66, Fine Art Canvas Board 18” X 18”, Fine Art Brushes, Used Pen Refill, A3 White Papers, White Yellow Carbon Paper, Compass, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :
Come Navratri and one can see people wearing colourful bandhni dupattas or headgear in states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Replicate the same on a canvas with a cool technique for Festival décor with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours.


STEP 1 : Source the base
• We are going to paint the canvas with bandhani effect • Take 18” x 18” canvas board.
STEP 2 : Drawing circles
• Draw the radiating circles with the compass on it.
STEP 3 : Painting the circles
• Paint the radiating circles using Acrylic Colours Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Magenta 15, Prussian Blue 19 and Coral Red 66. • Leave it to dry completely. • Take A3 white papers; draw the bandhani design motifs like the elephants, the dandiya dance figures and the paisley on it in the size of the canvas. • Trace the bandhani motif design in the circles with carbon paper.
STEP 4 : Painting the motifs
• Paint the bandhani motifs using the rear side of the refill with Acrylic Colours Black 02 and White 27. • Leave it to dry completely.
