Bravery Medal For Covid Warriors
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, Fevicryl Fabric Colours Black 202, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Prussian Blue 219, White 227, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Scissors, A4 White Paper, Black Carbon Paper, Safety Pin, Needle and Thread, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
We all have had a very difficult 2020 and our brave doctors and nurses have been the soldiers at the forefront to fight this pandemic. Here is a DIY to make a token of appreciation for these brave warriors.
STEP 1 : Draw the base
• We are going to make the bravery medal for the Covid warriors of India.
• Take the piece of white mal fabric.
• Draw a pentagon measuring approximately 4 ½” x 3 ½” in size.
• Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Draw the design
• Draw the Ashok chakra along with covid warriors in the front like the doctors, nurses, policemen, workers from cleaning department and more who helped people in pandemic situations on it.
• Trace the same design on the fabric in the pentagon with a black carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Paint the design
• Paint the shaded effect of the tricolor on the fabric along with the Ashok chakra and the warriors with Fabric Colours Black 202, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Prussian Blue 219 and White 227.
• Let it dry completely.
STEP 4 : Cut a canvas sheet
• Take the piece of the canvas sheet.
• Mark and cut a pentagon out of it similar to the fabric.
STEP 5 : Assembly
• Stick the painted pieces of the fabric on it; secure the edges by folding it and sticking it on the rear side using Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
• The finishing of the fabric badge will look like this.
STEP 6 : Making the medal with Mouldit
• We are going to make the medal with Mouldit.
• We are making two different medals one in coin shape and the other with the pigeon shape.
• Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 7 : Making the shapes
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.
• Draw and cut the medals, one in coin shape and the other with the pigeon shape from the slab.
• Let it get semi dry.
• Pierce the holes with a pointed needle.
• Engrave the leaf design on the round medal.
• Let it dry completely.
STEP 8 : Paint the shapes
• Paint the medal s with antique gold effect using Acrylic Colour Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
• Let it dry.
STEP 9 : Final assembly.
• Attach the medals to the badge with the needle and the thread along with the safety pin on the top side to put it on the dress.
• Your bravery medals with badge are ready.
