Boomerang Mobile
You Will Need:

Description :
Here is an eclectic home décor for you to bring about a dash of colour to your walls. Made with a bright selection of colours you can customize the same as per your décor theme.
STEP 1 : Mix Mouldit
- We are going to make the boomerang décor with clay and painted with Aboriginal art.
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Make the boomerangs
- Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thick slab with rolling pin.
- Let the slab get semi dry.
- Mark and cut 3 boomerangs out of the clay.
- Pierce the holes on the clay boomerang in opposite directions, to tie the thread onto it.
- Let it dry completely.
STEP 3 : Make and trace the design
- Take an A3 white paper draw the tribal design inspired from the aboriginal art in the size of the boomerang on it.
- We have taken the motifs like kangaroo, lizard and tribal human figure.
- Paint the boomerang with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Let it dry.
- Trace the same design on the boomerang with yellow carbon paper.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Paint the design
- Paint the design of the boomerang with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, Violet 25, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32 and Sky Blue 63.
- Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Enhance the design
- Paint and enhance the design of aboriginal art with 3 D Outliners Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 703, Orange 705, Burnt Sienna 706, White 707, Black 708, Pearl Pink 303 and Lilac 307.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Make and paint the beads
- Take the clay to make few beads out of it.
- Refer to the image.
- Let the beads dry completely.
- Paint the beads with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Neon Pink 018 and Sky Blue 63.
- Let it dry.
- Enhance the beads with 3 D Outliners Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 703 and White 707.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Assembly
- Take the metal ring and black wool.
- Cover the ring with the wool by sticking it on regular intervals using Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Take the red wool, painted clay beads and the metal ring covered with black wool.
- Attach the painted boomerang in between the rings and attach the beads on both the sides of the ring with the tassel towards the end to make the mobile like this.
