You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, White 27, Fevicryl Mouldit , Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, Clay Carving Tools, Thick Wooden Plank 3” X 12” Size.

Are you an avid reader or someone close is, then this DIY is just for you! Make these cute Book ends to showcase you love for reading and you will be surprised as to how simple it to make.STEP 1 : Mixing the dough
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
• Let the dough ball rest for 5 minutes.
STEP 2 : Moulding the dough
• Take the dough.
• Roll it to give the basic shape of the bird.
• Make about 2 such shapes for the birds.
STEP 3 : Moulding the wings
• Take some dough and make a tear drop shaped pair of the wings, the web shaped legs and a small beak out of it.
• Leave it till semi dry.
STEP 4 : Adding texture
• Stick the wings and the legs properly using Fabric Glue.
• Create the texture on the wings to give it more realistic look using clay carving tools.
• Make pair of tiny eyes and stick appropriately along with the beak with Fabric Glue.
• Make sure that when you are making birds, one of the birds is looking at an angle upwards and the other is looking straight.
• Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Painting the birds
• Paint the birds in a shading manner using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01 and Chrome Yellow 03.
• Paint the beaks of the birds with Crimson 04 and the eyes with White 27 and Black 02.
• Leave it to dry.
STEP 6 : Assembly
• Take a Thick Wooden Plank measuring 3” X 12” in size.
• Paint the side walls of the plank with Acrylic colour Chrome Yellow 03 and Crimson 04 respectively.
• Stick the birds on the plank towards the ends using Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry completely.
• Your book ends are ready.
