You Will Need:

Celebrate this World Art Day with your innovative idea and spread the message of “All Can Art” with your creative project of Mixed Media. Make this DIY using the Fevicryl Mouldit and Fine Art Canvas.  

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take a plain wooden palette, we are going to make the oval shape of the Earth with the continents in mosaic pattern.  

STEP 2 : Paint the base coat

Paint the wooden palette with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Sky Blue 63. Let it dry.

STEP 3 : Draw and mark the lines

Draw and mark the lines of latitude on the palette.

STEP 4 : Prepare the dough

Make the continents using Fevicryl Mouldit with the mosaic effect. Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix well to make an even dough, take the dough, roll it to make a thin slab with rolling pin. Mark and cut the shapes of the continents from the slab. Stick the continents on the palette with mosaic effect using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.  

STEP 5 : Paint the continents

Paint the continents with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Lemon Yellow 11 and Orange 17. Let it dry.  

STEP 6 : Cover the canvas

Take 16” x 20” Fine Art Canvas board, stick and cover it with a newspaper using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.  

STEP 7 : Paint the distress effect

Paint the edges of the canvas with distressed effect using Distress ink. Let it dry.

STEP 8 : Arrange and stick the palette

Arrange and stick the palette on the canvas using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 9 : Final Look

Your Mixed media canvas for World Art Day will look like this.
