Upload Your Own CreationsCut out desired shapes for the eye masks from the paper. Flowers and hearts are apt for the wedding occasion, masks can be designed for that.
There are various ways that the eye masks can be decorated. In this tutorial 4 methods of working on paper to make eye masks will be broken down into steps. Start off by applying a base coat of your choice to the eye masks cutouts by using paints from the Sunflower kit.
For the heart-shaped eye mask, a base coat of Crimson has been used. Work with Liquid embroidery cones- "Pearl White" to make an art nouveau or creepers design. This makes a beautiful feminine eye mask.
Another mask has been painted with a base coat of Blue. Once this base coat dries, quickly apply another coat of a slightly lighter colour. Before this second layer dries off, place a plastic sheet over the wet paint and pull off the sheet. A little paint sticks to the plastic sheet and comes off. This gives the surface of the eye mask a distressed look for a retro finish.
The third eye gear has a base coat of Yellow on top of which you can work with two colours to give the effect of checks.
The last eye mask has a base coat of orange. Using liquid embroidery cones of choice, embellishments can be stuck onto the surface. Liquid embroidery cones have the property of an adhesive too. The design on the eye mask can be enhanced by working with liquid embroidery cones.
Fasten a stick to allow you to hold the eye mask. Stick feathers to enhance the beauty of the Eye Masks.
And there you go!! The eye masks with a retro touch, vintage feel are ready to raise some heads at the wedding masquerade party!
