STEP 1
Take a floral printed volume decoupage sheet Cut out the flowers from the sheet
STEP 2
Take MDF wooden box in the shape and size of your choice We have taken a square box
STEP 3
To emboss the flowers, hold the flower cutout on the flame of the candle Hold the flower about 1 and 1/2 inches away from the flame so as not to burn the flower as well as your hands Once the flower is heated up, it will start becoming soft and would deform a bit Place the flower at this soft stage, on the embossing pad and emboss it using an embossing tool Emboss one petal at a time, you may need to repeatedly heat the flower to emboss it's different parts Keep aside all the embossed flowers, leaves and buds
STEP 4
Colour the MDF wooden box in the colour of your choice We have sponge dabbed Pearl - Cherry Red on the wooden box You may give two coats of colour to give an even finish Leave it to dry
STEP 5
Arrange and stick the embossed flowers on the coloured box and the lid using No Stitch Fabric Glue Leave it to dry
STEP 6
Draw spirals with minute dots made with a zero number brush and Acrylic Colour - White around the floral design on all the sides as well as the lid Leave it to dry
