Make a paste of dental powder / POP, Fevicol SH and little water.
Spread this paste on the plywood and tap with fingers to create texture.
Leave to dry.
Lightly draw the design on the plywood.
Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough.
You may sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.
To make rath, toran and symbols, take Shilpkar dough and roll it in thin long coils, take two coils and twist both to make a twisted coil.
Stick the twisted coils and symbols on the design using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
Make leaves with Shilpkar dough, mark leaf veins with paper cutter. Stick on toran using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
To make wheels, take Shilpkar dough and roll it on a flat surface using rolling pin. Cut a circle from it. Mark the wheel lines using paper cutter.
Stick the wheels on the mural using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
To make sun, apply Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue on the area and spread Shilpkar dough on it. Shape it with fingers.
To make the Lord Ganesha figure, take Shilpkar dough and shape it in oval shape and stick it on mural with Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric glue to form the stomach. Prick it with toothpick to form naval.
To make legs, take Shilpkar dough and roll 2 drop shapes. Stick them as legs with thin part down. Pinch the thin part to flatten and shape it as feet. Make lines to show garment folds with toothpick. Similarly make hands. Refer picture.
To make face and trunk, take Shilpkar dough and roll it in a longer drop shape. Stick the face and slightly fold the thin tip to form trunk folding. Take two small balls of Shilpkar dough, flatten them and stick as ears. Mark the eyes, trunk and ears with toothpick. Refer picture.
To make crown, take Shilpkar dough and roll it in flat cone shape. stick it on the head of Ganesha using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue. prick with toothpick to make design in the crown.
Paint the whole piece using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black. Leave to dry.
Sponge dab the background using Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Bronze.
Paint the rath and wheels using Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold.
Paint the symbols, toran and leaves using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Maroon and Sap Green.
Paint the sun using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Lemon Yellow, Orange and Crimson.
Paint the Ganesha using Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold and Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Maroon.
Make finer decorative designs in the rath using Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner Pearl Metallic- Gold.
Leave to dry.
Apply 2-3 coats of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue to get a glossy look.
