how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Take mount-board and cut following shapes-
Rectangle 9inches X 12 inches- 1pc
Rectangle 7inches X 3inches- 1pc
Sun with raise- 1pc
Circle 9cms- 2pcs
Square 10cms X 10cms- 3 pcs
Maple leaf shape (heart)- 1pc

STEP 2:-

To give background texture on the mount-board pcs, mix Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue and water in ratio 3:1. Use this mixture and stick a layer of tissue paper on all the mount-board cut outs.
Leave to dry.

STEP 3:-

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough.
You can sprinkle little talcum powder on hands to avoid sticking.

STEP 4:-

To make vaastu symbols, take Shilpkar dough and roll it in thin long coil. Take two coils and twist them with each other to get a twisted coil.
Draw vaastu symbols- swastika, om, shree trishul and shubh labh, on the circle, square and rectangle mount-board pcs. Stick the twisted coils on the mount-board using Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric Glue. Refer picture.
To make the kalash, draw the kalash on the square mount-board. Apply a layer of Fevicryl No-Stitch Fabric Glue on the kalash drawing and spread Shilpkar dough on it. Shape it with fingers and mark the inner lines with toothpick.

STEP 5:-

To make Ganesha on the heart shaped mount-board, take Shilpkar dough and shape it in oval shape and stick it with Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric glue to form the stomach. Prick it with toothpick to form naval.
To make legs, take Shilpkar dough and roll 2 drop shapes. Stick them as legs with thin part down. Pinch the thin part to flatten and shape it as feet. Make lines to show garment folds with toothpick. Similarly make hands. Refer picture.
To make face and trunk, take Shilpkar dough and roll it in a longer drop shape. Stick the face and slightly fold the thin tip to form trunk folding. Take two small balls of Shilpkar dough, flatten them and stick as ears. Mark the eyes, trunk and ears with toothpick. Refer picture.
Leave to harden.

STEP 6:-

Sponge dab background mount-board (9inches X 12inches) with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Prussian Blue and White.
Paint the swastik circle, om circle, shree square, trishul square, kalash square and shubh labh rectangle piece with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours- Crimson , Lemon Yellow, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna.
Paint the heart shape with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Light Green and Lemon Yellow.
Paint Ganesha and sun with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours- Vermillion and Lemon Yellow.
Leave to dry.

STEP 7:-

Assemble all the pieces. Stick them using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue. Refer picture.
