Take a reference image of a Theyyam dancers face from the net
You may take other references as per your choice
Trace the outline of the face on a tracing paper in the size of about 9 inches long and proportionately wide
Draw a circle of about 10 inches in diameter on a black fabric
Trace the outlines of the face in the centre of the circle drawn on the black fabric
Colour the face in a lighter shade of orange made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Orange and White leaving the areas unpainted for the eyes, ears and lips
Colour the white areas of the eyes using Acrylic Colour – White
The eye balls in black fabric
Highlight the eyeballs with a dot of Acrylic Colour - White
Paint the design on the face finely with Acrylic Colours – Crimson and Chrome Yellow
Leave it to dry
Add more details in the design using Acrylic Colours – Crimson and Chrome Yellow
Colour the head gear using Acrylic Colour – White in the dry brush technique
Complete the head gear by giving short strokes of Acrylic Colour - Orange
Highlight the white portion of the head gear with few dry brush strokes in Chrome Yellow
Leave it to dry
Cut a circle from a mount board with a diameter of 9''
Also cut the painted black fabric along the circle drawn
Stretch and paste the fabric on the mount board using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Fix the hooks and the clock mechanism using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Leave it to dry
