Tribal Bottle

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Clean the glass bottle.

STEP 2:-

Apply a thin coat of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
Immediately apply a thin layer of Fevicryl Terracotta Primer.
Leave to dry.

STEP 3:-

Mark area to make the tribal face.
Take Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, and paint mosaic lines all over the remaining area of the bottle.
Leave to dry.

STEP 4:-

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough.
You may sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.

STEP 5:-

Take shilpkar dough and roll it in thin long coils. Stick the coils on the neck of bottle, hand randomly all over the bottle, and hairs using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue. Refer picture.
Leave to harden.

STEP 6:-

Take shilpkar dough and make facial features of the tribal man like- eyes, nose, ears, moustache, lips and beard. Stick them using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
Mark lines in the moustache and beard using paper cutter.
Stick a spiral coil as earrings.
Leave to harden.

STEP 7:-

Paint the whole bottle using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black.
Leave to dry.
Sponge dab the bottle lightly using Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold. Doing this will highlight all the textures and shapes.
Leave to dry.

STEP 8:-

Apply 2-3 coats of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue on the whole piece to get a glossy look.
Leave to dry.

Fevicryl Shilpkar,Fevicryl Terracotta Primer,Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue,Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black 02,Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour- Gold 352,Fine Art Brushes,Palette. Glass Bottle, Pencil, Sponge, Talcum powder, Paper cutter.
