Children will love this crafty little boat made from a recycled plastic bottle. Help them with cutting, assembling and painting during a rainy day, and then float them in a puddle to celebrate, when the sun comes shining through!
Gather scrapbook paper, craft glue, recycled plastic bottle, pencil and a straw.
Cut the bottom of the bottle to use as base of the boat.
Trace around the bottle with pencil to make a circle.
Cut the circle with scissors.
Cut a triangle from the scrapbook paper.
Stick to the straw using Fevicol MR.
Poke a hole in centre of the circle with a pencil.
Apply glue to the hole.
Insert the straw into the hole.
Squeeze glue into centre of the base.
Push the straw into the glue to place the circle into the base.
Let dry.
Paint squiggles and dots around the base of the boat with puffy paints.
Paint a design or pattern on the flag using puffy paints of your choice.
Let dry completely.
Note:
If the boat tips easily when placed in water, add a weight in the bottom such as rice or a coin.
