Tie And Dye Scarf

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colour - Crimson 204, Lemon Yellow 211, Pink 218, Cerulean Blue 232, Fine Art Painting Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, White Cotton Fabric - one meter, Stitching Thread or Wool

Description :

This circular tie and dye technique is simple, easy and gives beautiful radiating circles. You may use it to dye your apparels, stoles or may just stretch it on a frame to make a wall panel

STEP 1
Take a 1 meter piece of white cotton fabric
STEP 2
Spread the cloth flat and pick it up from the centre and tie it tightly with a thread or wool in unequal four part
STEP 3
Crumple the remaining left over fabric and tie it tightly with a thread or wool Wet the fabric under a running tap and squeeze out all the extra water
STEP 4
Place the tied wet fabric straight on the work surface for colouring
STEP 5
Take the colours in the palette and mix them with little water Dab one colour in one section on the wet fabric using a brush
STEP 6
Paint the remaining tied fabric using Acrylic Colours - Crimson, Lemon Yellow, Pink and Cerulean Blue
STEP 7
Open the tied fabric and iron it after 24 hours of drying.
