Wingardium Leviosa! For a witch costume, all you need to complete your Halloween costume is a handmade accessory or witch wand. Taking inspiration from the Harry Potter series, here's how you can make Hermoine’s wand.
Mix the Resin base and Hardener available in the packet of Shilpkar to make a white dough. Mould the Shilpkar lengthwise.
Mould a few balls, flatten them and then pinch on both sides to make leaves.
Stick the Shilpkar around the stick in such a way that it coils around it. Use the leaves and coils as fillers and stick in the remaining places on the stick. Allow the Shilpkar to dry for a couple of hours.
Apply a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic black on the witch wand. Allow this to dry for a couple of minutes.
Using a flat brush give dry brush strokes using Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Gold colour. Do not use water in this step.
The base coat of black and the usage of a metallic or pearl colour over the black base coat gives an antique finish to the witch wand.
Apply a coat of fabric glue over the witch wand as a protective layer and if you wish to keep this Halloween costume accessory for use at other events, you can apply a coat of varnish.
