Description :
Scrapbooks are a creative way of maintaining photographs and memories to cherish. Scrapbooking not only adds a personal touch to your albums, but is also a way to de-stress as you relive moments while working on your scrapbook.
STEP 1
A scrapbook consists of a number of beautifully designed pages where each page has a creative layout which is based on a certain theme or are designed in such a way that they go with the photograph or stand contrast to the photograph that they are made for.
Scrapbook page layouts are generally done on card stock, color or pattern papers which are cut into a perfect square. For my Scrapbook layouts, I have chosen 8 x 8 inch papers. Since I have an 8 x 8 inch paper, I have chosen a single photograph for each layout, so as to make sure that the page doesn’t look overcrowded and clumsy. The photograph happens to be the focal point/point of focus and retains prominence in each layout.
STEP 2
The cute expression of love in the photograph calls for a layout which has a dose of simplicity and cuteness. To go with the photograph, I decided to have the theme of balloons!
I started of with a pink card stock, topped it with a piece of “LOVE IN PARIS” themed pattern paper. Again, cute little adhesive “LOVE” buttons serve as balloons for the layout. A little bit of dabbing using Artistry Ink Burnt Umber, followed by a few “LOVE” stickers adds on to the text in the layout. I have further stuck burlap cords using Fevicol and added a little bow from the Embellished stickers-Heart pack.
STEP 3
I am so in love with the “Scrapbook Paper Premium Edition Love In Paris” papers, that I used a portion of 4 papers in this layout. A space for the photograph at the bottom, followed by stickers from the Embellished stickers-Heart pack makes this one is pretty simple. Doesn’t it?
STEP 4
There is sunshine in this picture!! Chose a cream card stock to go with it which in turn seems to perfectly match the baby pink sheet! I used the heart punch from the Punch Series - Pattern No7 to make small hearts to add to the background. I have further added cute sticker elements from the Embellished stickers-Heart pack. This one is “OH-SO-PINK”!
STEP 5
With a Pastel Green card stock, what would work better than going for contrasts in shades of red? I have used a Lemon Yellow card stock and a portion of a sheet from the “Scrapbook Paper Premium Edition Love In Paris” papers. The remaining embellishments have been pasted from the “Embellished Stickers – Love” pack. The buttons from this pack seem to have caught my fancy which happens to be the cutest part of this Scrapbook Layout.
STEP 6
It’s always fun to work on a project with a vintage feel. This scrapbook layout has a Felt Frame Sticker which is the frame for the photograph. I have further used Artistry Ink Burnt Umber, to give a distressed effect to the Layout. Satin ribbons, a few stones and embellishments enhance the beauty of the Scrapbook Layout.
