It is Holi time, the festival of colours. Make this colourful thali to offer colours to the Gods during the Holika Dahan.

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:- Painting the base

Pooja thali - Step 1 | Hobbyideas

• Take MDF wooden pooja thali along with the haldi and kumkum holder.
• Paint the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
• Let it dry.

STEP 2:- Painting second coat

• Paint the second coat of Acrylic Colours Lemon Yellow 11.
• Let it dry.

STEP 3:- Drawing the design

• Take an A4 white paper; draw a floral design in the size of the wooden pooja thali on it.

STEP 4:- Tracing the design

• Trace the same design in the centre of the pooja thali as well as on the border edge of the thali with a yellow carbon paper.
• Refer to the image.

STEP 5:- Painting the design

• Paint the design on the Pooja thali using Acrylic Colours Lemon Yellow 11, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Teal Blue 32 and Neon Pink 018.
• Leave it to dry.
• Similarly paint the Haldi and Kumkum holders with the same colours.

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Lemon Yellow 11, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Teal Blue 32, Neon Pink 018, Fine Art Brushes, MDF Wooden Pooja Thali, A4 Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container.
