Peacock Plate

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Clean the plate.

STEP 2:-

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough.
You may sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.

STEP 3:-

To make feathers, take shilpkar dough and shape it as a flat long elongated shape.
Arrange and stick the feathers on the steel plate using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
Refer picture for arrangement of the feathers.
Mark the feather lines using paper cutter.

STEP 4:-

To make body and beak of the peacock, take shilpkar dough and roll it in drop shape.
Fold the drop shape into ‘S’ shape. the pointed part being beak of the peacock.
Stick the body on the feathers using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
Mark eyes of peacock using toothpick.

STEP 5:-

Similarly take shilpkar dough and shape it as legs, etc. and stick.
Leave to harden.

STEP 6:-

Paint the peacock using Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colour- Turquoise Blue, Emerald Green, Golden Yellow, Dark Copper and Gold. Refer picture.
Leave to dry.

STEP 7:-

Apply dots of Fevicryl 3D Outliner Non Sticky Glitter- Navy Blue in the centre of each feather.
Leave to dry.

STEP 8:-

Apply 2-3 coats of Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue on the whole piece to get a glossy look.
Leave to dry.
