Paper Masks

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Fevicol MR, Fine Art Brushes, A4 Sized Colourful Papers, Pencil, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container, Recycled News Paper, Corrugated Sheet, Oval Shaped Glass /Ceramic Bowl, Single Punch.

Description :
Here is an Aboriginal Mask project for you. Made by simple Papier Mache technique these are a great accent for your interiors.  
STEP 1
Take recycled newspapers and tear them into pieces. Take the oval shaped ceramic bowl to make the mold of oval shaped faces. Grease the bowl with little oil. Place the paper pieces in the bowl one by one applying Fevicol MR in between the layers. Leave it to dry. After drying remove the oval shaped paper mold out of the bowl to make the mask.
STEP 2
Take the corrugated sheets. Draw the 4 ears for the masks. Cut along the outlines of the ears.
STEP 3
Stick the ears appropriately on both the sides of the masks using Fevicol MR. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
Paint the mask with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
STEP 5
Draw the facial details like nose, lips, eyes and the tribal design on the masks. Refer to the image.
STEP 6
Paint the masks with Acrylic Colour Black 02 and the face accents and design in Acrylic Colour White 27. Leave it to dry.
STEP 7
Take an A4 sized colourful papers. Draw the feather shapes on it.Cut along the fringes to give the feather effect. Refer to the images.
STEP 8
Paint the facial details and the design with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Sky Blue 63. Stick the paper feathers on the rear side of the head using Fevicol MR. Let it dry. Your tribal masks are ready.
