Highlight your bedroom decor with this handpainted quilt that you can also use as a bedspread.

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Painted Quilt - Step 1 | Hobbyideas

Draw a Radha - Krishna design on a full imperial sized drawing paper

STEP 2:-

Trace the design on a same sized white poplin fabric using yellow carbon paper

STEP 3:-

Colour Radha's skin tone by mixing Acrylic Colours - White and a dash of Orange and Krishna's body is painted in a shade of Blue made by mixing - Cerulean Blue and White
Paint Radha's drapery using shades of green made by mixing Prussian Blue and Dark Green and Krishna's dhoti is painted in shades of orange
Ornaments are painted using Sparkling Colour - Gold
Colour the lehenga by adding little more orange colour to the skin tone shade
Leave it to dry

STEP 4:-

Paint the eyes, hair and the outlines with Acrylic Colour - Black
Decorate the ornaments and garland using 3D Cone Outliner Pearl Metallic - Gold, Pearl White, Glitter Red, Glitter Leaf Green and the drapery with Pearl Metallic Colours - Gold
Leave it to dry

STEP 5:-

Paint the white quilt in a watery Prussian Blue shade leaving a 4” border on all the sides

STEP 6:-

Create a floral stencil design on an A4 sized OHP sheet. Sponge dab the design using Acrylic Colour – Prissian Blue

STEP 7:-

Also paint a freehand swirly border with Acrylic Colour - Crimson

STEP 8:-

Stick the painted Radha - Krishna poplin fabric patch in the centre of quilt using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Make a 1' border of Acrylic Colour - Orange around the Painting
Stick Glitter Orange border using No Stitch Fabric Glue as shown in the image

STEP 9:-

Create a freehand curvilinear border around the painted frame with Acrylic Colour - Crimson and highlight it with Orange
Leave it to dry

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - White 27, Black 02, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Cerulean Blue 32, Prussian Blue 19, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Dark Brown 05, Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colours - Gold 352, Fevicryl Sparkling Colours - Golden Yellow 907, Gold 912, Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner- Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, Pearl White 301, Glitter - Red 405, Glitter - Leaf Green 412, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette Yellow Carbon Paper, Poplin White Fabric, Golden Lace (small), Orange Shiny Lace (broad), Full Imperial Sized Drawing Paper, OHP Sheets, Pencil, Scissors, Paper Cutter, Water Container, Sponge, White Single Quilt
