Description :

Make your teachers day greeting card / teacher's day card on this honoured day to show your love and respect to your mentor. Make an origami card with an innovative and meaningful teachers day card design to reflect how much your teacher means to you.

STEP 1
Take origami papers.
STEP 2
Create guidelines by folding a square piece of paper by joining the two opposite corners.
STEP 3
Unfold and repeat in the other direction. Be sure to line-up the edges and corners as cleanly as you possibly can.
STEP 4
Fold one of the corner in the centre (half line-up the edges and corners) to make a solid crease. Repeat the earlier step with the rest of the corners. You should now have a square piece of paper with creases / guidelines that intersect perpendicularly in the centre.
STEP 5
Fold each corner inward towards the centre. Begin with one corner, pulling it all the way towards the centre point and lining it up with the guideline-creases you made earlier. Once everything is lined up, fold and crease. Refer to the image.
STEP 6
Try to get the tip as close to the centre without going past it. Do not unfold.
STEP 7
Repeat the previous step for each corner. Once each corner is folded you should be left with a smaller square. This is called a "blintz fold."
STEP 8
Flip the paper.
STEP 9
Fold each corner of the blintz fold base inwards towards the centre.
STEP 10
Bring each corner all the way to the centre point of the square, and line-up the corners, edges and guidelines just as you did when you first constructed the base. Refer to the image. Make sure the folds are on the top of the blintz base when you begin. Repeat for each corner. When you are finished, you should end-up with another square.
STEP 11
Now fold each corner towards the outwards, which are folded inwards (towards the centre )
STEP 12
You are essentially performing a series of blintz folds on a single piece of paper.
STEP 13
Flip the paper. You can see the square in front and 4 small triangles which are peeping out from the square.
STEP 14
Make another blintz fold by folding the centre of each corner of the blintz base towards the outwards. Work each corner one at a time and be patient.
STEP 15
Once again, you will be folding the corners towards the outwards so that you are left with yet another smaller, square inside.
STEP 16
You will be "inverting" a fold with each petal. Pull up the last round of petals to get the lotus flower Your origami lotus flower is ready.
STEP 17
Make big and small sized flowers. Make 5 such flowers.
STEP 18
Take Hobby Ideas a4 sized green coloured card paper. Fold the paper in the centre to make the card. Arrange and stick the origami flowers aesthetically using Fevicol MR. Paint the stems with Fevicryl 3D Outliner Non Sticky Glitter - Silver 402. Leave it to dry.
