Name Plate Peace

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Light Green 12, White 27, Voilet 25, Pearl Metallic - Silver 351, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Colour Palette . Water Container, OHP Sheet, Sponge, Talcum Powder

Description :

These flowers are made using one of the basic hand building techniques of forming clay called the coil technique. Twist and turn these coils to make beautiful flowers to decorate a nameplate, a vase or a wall frame.

STEP 1
Take an MDF wooden placemat or a base of your choice
STEP 2
Give a base coat of Acrylic Pearl Metallic Colour - Silver You may give 2 -3 coats for an even finish
STEP 3
Take Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener and mix it in equal quantities
STEP 4
Knead it to form an even white dough Leave it aside for 10 minutes to harden a little
STEP 5
Roll a coil of about 2-3 inches long and narrow at both the ends on an OHP sheet Roll about 12 coils to make one flower with 6 petals Leave it for some more time if they are still very soft
STEP 6
Hold two coils at one end shape it in a loop and twist the other ends together. Repeat the same for all the coils Leave it to dry completely
STEP 7
Make a flower with 6 petals as seen in the image You make take the number of petals as per your choice Leave it to dry
STEP 8
You may also make the flowers in 2 to 3 different sizes
STEP 9
Roll coils of about 2 - 3 inches long and narrow at both the ends on an OHP sheet to write the word "Peace" You may write your name or the name of your loved ones Leave it to dry completely
STEP 10
Colour the twisted coils in a base coat of Acrylic Colour - White Leave it to dry Sponge dab a lighter shade of Violet on the flower to highlight the petals
STEP 11
Sponge dab a lighter shade of green for the leaves Let it dry
STEP 12
Arrange all the flowers and0 leaves on the wooden placemat and arrange as per your choice
STEP 13
Arrange the letters "Peace" and stick them using No Stitch Fabric Glue Colour the tendrils using dotted lines in light Violet and Light Green to complete the nameplate Leave it to dry
STEP 14
Another, floral arrangement is done to make a tealite holder or a wall frame Colour it using Acrylic Colours of your choive to match your home decor We have used Acrylic Colour - Vandyke Brown for the base and Golden Yellow mixed with Indian Red for the flower
STEP 15
Sponge dab a lighter shade of Acrylic Colour - Deep Brilliant Purple on the flower to highlight the petals
STEP 16
Keep a diya painted in the same purple shade in the centre of the floral arrangement Let it dry
STEP 17
And your Name plate is ready
