Exotic Mural

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Mix ceramic powder with Fevicol MR to form a thick paste.

STEP 2:-

Apply a thin layer of Fevicol MR on the wooden mural cut-out. Spread a thick layer of paste on it.
Immediately texture different areas by using fork, paper cutter, tapping finger etc.
Press in the Ganesha Murti, lotus and other symbols.
Leave to dry completely.

STEP 3:-

Paint all the textured area using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black.
Leave to dry.

STEP 4:-

Sponge dab different areas using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Burnt Sienna, Chrome Yellow, Crimson, Dark Brown, Dark Green, Light green, Magenta, Orange, Prussian Blue and White.
Leave to dry.

STEP 5:-

Spray clear varnish.

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Dark Green 06, Light green 12, Magenta 13, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, White 27,Fevicol MR,Fine Art Brushes,Palette. Wooden mural cut-out, Ceramic powder / dental powder/ white cement, Fork, Toothpick, Paper cutter, Small murti’s – Ganesha, lotus, other symbols (alternatively you can make them using Fevicryl Shilpkar), Sponge, Clear spray varnish, Big bowl.

My ceramic paste is not holding the texture....Also the ceramic paste develops some cracks on drying...What am I doing wrong
