Here is an interesting project which uses the material around us to create beautiful Mixed Media canvases. Mixed media is about creating a unique textured canvas, adding layer upon layers of beautiful vintage treasures. 

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Take 2 fine art canvases measuring 12” x 12” in size.

STEP 2:-

Paint the canvases with light shade of violet and blue made by mixing Acrylic Colours Violet 25, Dark Green 06, Turquoise Blue 22 and Sky Blue 63 by adding little White 27 in the colours respectively.
Leave it to dry.

STEP 3:-

Take an A4 sized Coloured print of Flowers.

STEP 4:-

Cut the printouts in the size of the canvases.
Stick the printouts on the canvases using Modge Podge.
Give away the coating of mod podge on the printouts first coat vertically and then horizontally.
Leave it to dry.

STEP 5:-

Elaborate few outlines of the flowers with fabric glue.
Leave it to dry completely
After drying the glue lines become transparent.

STEP 6:-

Paint the dried glue lines with Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Silver 351 and Gold 352 and respectively.

STEP 7:-

Draw two dragonflies on an A4 sized lime green coloured gateway paper.
Cut the net on the feathers of one of the dragonfly.
Similarly cut the same style dragonfly from pink coloured gateway paper.
Stick the dragon fly on a plain cutout using Fabric Glue.
Leave it to dry.

STEP 8:-

Enhance the canvases by sticking the jail effect dragonflies, vintage flowers and half cut pearls aesthetically using fabric glue.
Leave it to dry.
For finished look paint the edges of the canvases using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Turquoise Blue 22 for one of the canvas and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Copper 353 for another canvas respectively.
