Marigold Flower Decor
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, Compass, Pencil, Ruler, Colourful Wooden Beads, Golden Coloured Thread, Metal Ring, A4 Paper Canvas, Colourful Pom-Poms, Scissors.
Description :
Decorate your homes with loads of marigold flowers this Gudi Padwa. This DIY has just that cool twist to the traditional flower décor during the festival.
STEP 1 : Selecting paper canvas for flowers
• Take an A4 sized paper canvas.
STEP 2 : Painting the base
• Paint the canvas with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03.
• Let it dry completely.
STEP 3 : Making circles on the canvas
• Draw 5 similar circles measuring 2 ½” in size on painted canvas to make the layered flowers of Marigold.
STEP 4 : Making layers
• Cut along the outlines of each circle and keep it aside.
STEP 5 : Making the flowers
• Cut the circles in the shape of the petals of Marigold with the pair of the scissors.
• Take the circles, cut the slit till the centre. Overlapped the cut ends slightly and secure the ends with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
• Arrange and stick the layers one on the other sticking with Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
• Make about 14 to 15 such flowers.
STEP 6 : Assembly
• Take the metal ring, wind the golden thread around the ring sticking the thread on regular intervals with Fabric Glue.
• Leave it to dry.
• Take the colourful wooden beads, pass the golden thread through the beads and stick the layered Marigold flowers in between the bead strands with Fabric Glue. Make 3 such flower and the bead strands.
STEP 7 : Finishing
• Take the covered ring. Dangle the flower strands on the ring on equal distance.
• Attach the colourful Pom-Poms towards the end of each flower strand.
