Upload Your Own CreationsThis liquid embroidered Santa scroll is painted using Liquid Embroidery Cones. Make this Christmas special by making this scroll yourself to decorate the walls of your homes or to hang it on the main entrance to give a warm welcome to your guests.
Take half a meter green coloured art silk cloth
Measure and cut a rectangular piece of about 18" x 24" inches
Draw a circle of about 12" inches in diameter on an A3 sized white paper
Draw a waving Santa picture in the circle as shown
You may select any other favourable Santa design of your choice
Trace the Santa in the centre of the cloth using carbon paper

Give a base coat of Acrylic Colour - White on the areas that are going to be painted using Liquid Embroidery Cone - Red for the cap, gloves and the jacket
Leave it to dry
The cap and the gloves are coloured using a blanket stitched pattern with Liquid Embroidery Cone - Red
The coat is coloured in satin stitch strokes using Liquid Embroidery Cone - Red
The beard and the moustache are coloured in a running stitch pattern using Liquid Embroidery Cone -White
The fur of the coat is coloured in thick close zig zag strokes given using Liquid Embroidery Cone - White
The MERRY CHRISTMAS written around the Santa is filled in with even dots of Liquid Embroidery - White for a beaded look

The circular background for the Santa is coloured using Liquid Embroidery - Light Green in a running stitch pattern
The face of the Santa is painted in a tan colour made by mixing Soft Acrylic Colour - White with a little bit of Burnt Sienna

The eyes are yet to be painted
Take a newspaper and cut it half at the fold.
Take 4 to 5 cut sheets together and roll them in a thin roll to make the rod for the scrolls
Stick the edges using Fevicol MR
Make two such rods
Colour the rods using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 352
Give two coats of colour for the rods for an even finish
Leave it to dry
Colour the Santa's eyes using Liquid Embroidery Colour - Black and White
Leave it to dry
Make the channels on the top and the bottom side of the fabric for the rods to hold
Fold the fabric on the rear side and stick the edges of the fabric using No Stitch Fabric Glue for the channels
Leave it to dry completely
Insert the paper rods in the channels
Add golden coloured tassels on either sides of the lower rod
Tie a golden string or a cord on the upper rods for hanging
