Lippan Art Vase
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours White 27, Coral Red 66, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, A4 Sized White Paper, White Carbon Paper, Pencil, Ornamental Stones (Small and Medium Sized Round Shaped White Coloured)
Description :
This festive season make a bright vase in the cheerful shade of Coral Red, decorated with traditional wall art of Gujarat – Lippan art.STEP 1
Take a plain terracotta vase.
Paint the vase with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
Leave it to dry.
STEP 2
Paint the vase with Acrylic Colour Coral Red 66.
Let it dry.
STEP 3
Take an A4 sized white paper; draw an ornamental paisley design on it.
Trace the same design on the vase with white carbon paper.
STEP 4
Take Shilpkar resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
Take the dough ball, roll it to make the thin coils. Let it semi dry.
Create the Lippan art pattern on the traced design of the paisley with few small and medium sized white ornamental stones using fabric glue.
Leave it to dry.
Take some dough, make few tiny balls out of it.
Embed few medium sized ornamental stones in the clay balls and let it dry.
Stick these embed stones on the edge of the pot towards the mouth of the pot with Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.
