Take a plain tall terracotta vase. Wash and let it dry completely.

Tear sheets of tissue paper, crumple it and start sticking it on the bottle using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Give a base coat of Acrylic Colour – White 27. Let it dry.

Make a geometrical pattern on the bottle and begin painting using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05 &Prussian Blue 19. Let it dry.

On the border of each of the geometrical shapes give a leather stitch (short broken lines) using Fevicryl 3D Outliner – White 707. Let this dry.

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to make an even soft dough.

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin. This would be used to make the horses in Kalamkari style.

Draw a Kalamkari inspired horse on a sheet of paper.

Take the clay slab, mark and cut out horses (2) from it, using clay carving and tools and a paper cutter for ease. Texture the mane of the horses as you see in the image above. Place these horses on the curvature of a bottle to get the desired shape.

Start painting the horses in a brown shade made by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Dark Brown 05 & Flesh Tint 30. Let them dry

Stick the horses aesthetically on the bottle using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

The bottle once completed would look like this, attractive and ethnic to adorn one of your favourite shelves or a nook in your home.
