Lamp Cover
You Will Need:
Fevicryl - Glass Colours – Water Based - Pink 856, Blue 853, Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 552, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold 401, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fine Art Canvas Sheet , OHP Sheet, Sponge, Talcum Powder, Readymade Lamp With A Glass Cover
Description :
Decorate to brighten up a plain glass lamp cover with glass colours and Shilpkar to make it look festive.
STEP 1
Take a glass lamp cover
Colour the cover in water based glass colours creating a gradation using pink to blue
You may use a brush to paint and then give a slight texture by sponge dabbing on the colour for a soft textured and even look
Leave it to dry
STEP 2
Mix Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener to form an even dough
Let it set for 10 mins
Take little dough and roll thin coils on the OHP sheet
Complete the design by rolling small coils and sticking them in the design pattern on the glass cover
Refer to the image for the design pattern or you may choose a design you like
Leave it to dry
STEP 3
To make the lotus base for the diya, draw lotus petals of different sizes on the fine art canvas
Outline the petals using Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold 401
Paint the petals using Water Based - Glass Colour - Pink
Let it dry
STEP 4
Cut a circle of about 5"inches in diameter from a canvas sheet
Paint the circles too with Water Based - Glass Colour – Pink
Leave it to dry
Stick the petals on the circle in an arrangement to make it look like a lotus using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue
Place the diya and the cover on this lotus base
