Koala in the jungle
Take a wooden placemat measuring 10 X 12 inches. Draw a Bamboo jungle for the background with a little grass in the front and at the base of the placemat.
Paint the bamboos in the shades of green made by mixing Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow, Dark Green, light green, Prussian blue and White.Leave it to dry.
The koala bear, Butterflies, Flowers and few Bamboos are made using paper quilling strips. To make the Koala Bear, you will need about 5 black paper strips and about 8 to 10 white strips.
The head of the koala bear is rolled using 6/7 white paper strips in a tight quill.
The body of the Koala is made using two white paper strips and 1 black paper strip rolled in to aloose quill.
The butterflies and the flowers are also made using small loose quills in assorted colour paper strips.
Two ears, two hand and two legs are loose quills made from half black coloured strip each and two eyes and the nose are made using another black coloured strip.
The bambos are made using shades of goreen coloured paper strips rolled into tight quills and then pushed from the centre to form a cone shape.
Use Fevicol MR to Stick the two cones with their wider ends together and the narrow ones together to form the bamboos.
Stick all the Quilled elements in appropriate positions on the painted placemat to complete the picture. Leave it to dry.
